Nose: There’re notes of crème brûlée, custard, lemon cake, banana, cereal, and vanilla. It’s sweet in an elegant way, reminiscent of passing by a confectionery.
Palate: I taste honey and orange chocolate immediately, along with hints of rosemary, sage, and peppermint.
Finish: The finish is long, slightly bitter, like a bite of orange peel. Toward the end, there’s a ginger tea kind of spicy feel.
Final Thought: In my opinion, a whisky is successful when it makes you want to get a second bottle right away or want to try more from the distillery. This is what this bottle does to me. It’s absolutely delicious, delicate but not simplistic. I definitely want to try more whiskies from Bladnoch!
Girl with Cask Strength Score: 90/100.
